 Brockway Memorial Library

Brockway Memorial Library first opened its doors in 1949 with a collection of several thousand books from the personal library of its namesake, George A. Brockway.  Often mistaken for a home, complete with sitting rooms and fireplaces, the building has only ever served as a Library. While it has grown over the years, it retains it's warmth, both in ambiance and through the personal attention patrons receive when they visit.

Today the Library offers more than 70,000 new and classic titles, movie rentals, newspapers, 100+ digital and print magazines, and thousands of eBooks and eAudios through OverDrive.  Brockway also participates in Florida's state-wide Interlibrary Loan System, giving our members access to a vast collection of standard and rare titles found in libraries throughout the state.

The Library's Adult and Youth Services Departments proudly offer a variety of monthly programs and special events for children and adults that are culturally enriching and that are intended to inspire all ages to develop a love of reading and the arts.  Please click on the "Programs" link to see a list of current offerings and upcoming events.

Brockway Memorial Library is committed to a safe and fun-filled environment free from harassment, intimidation or bullying for all of our participants and staff regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation. We are working very hard in making the Library facilities a Bully Free Zone! We encourage our patrons and participants to report any type of bullying they may experience, hear or see occurring in our Library.
