Advisory Board Meeting

Wednesday, March 27, 2013


Present: H. Spahn, M. Wilcoxen, L. Mennes, M. Mennes, B. Brown, J. D’Alessandro,

T. Allison, R. Strickland and Alberto Pozzi


Meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm


A. Pozzi –

  • First Quarter Results have been very good, both      in golf and Food and Beverage
  • Pleased with the golf course conditions
  • Continuing with the restoration of exterior wood      surfaces of the Clubhouse



New Business:


H. Spahn – No Comments


M. Wilcoxen –

  • Played yesterday and today. The golf course is in very good      condition
  • Are there any plans to fix the fairway on #2? Perhaps creating a waste bunker as was      done on #8?
  • The sand is disappearing in some of the bunkers
  • The new Club champion is Peggy Butts


A. Pozzi –

  • Damage to #2 fairway is the result of tidal      flooding. We have experienced      unusually high tides over the last several months. We are looking at alternatives to turf.
  • New sand will be added to selected bunkers


L. Mennes –

  • New tennis teams are starting play
  • Nice seeing the kids on the courts for the spring      camp



M. Mennes –

  • Need to review the maintance of the sand traps
  • The Club Championship tournament was very well run


A. Pozzi – For Howie

  • We had 29 kids for the Spring Break Camp
  • Preparing for Summer Camp
  • Started new groups for Men and Women


B. Brown

  • Dining Room staff is fantastic
  • The Clubhouse is looking very nice
  • The Ballwashers still need work












J. D’ Alessandro –

  • Apologizes for not being able to make it to the      last 2 meetings
  • Was here for a private event and was very      impressed with the food, the lamb chops were incredible



T. Allison –

  • Men’s Club Champion is JJ Matutina
  • We have a charity golf tournament every Friday in      April
  • The mixed couples championship is scheduled for      April 7


A. Pozzi – Next meeting is scheduled for April 24

With no further business, meeting was adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
