LIMIT YARD WORK as Tropical Storm Isaias threatens

As Miami-Dade County is in the "Cone of Uncertainty" for Tropical Storm Isaias, now is NOT the time to do major yard work or begin construction projects.

Miami Shores Village asks all residents:

- NOT cut down trees or do major yard work

- NOT to begin construction projects that produce debris

Once a Watch or Warning has been issued:

- DO NOT trim vegetation of any kind.

- Do not take materials to the alleyways or curb. Services may be suspended to prepare for the storm.

Please note that Tropical Storm Isaias is a fast moving storm expected to impact the Florida Peninsula beginning Friday night into Saturday morning. Miami Shores Village cannot guarantee debris pickup as the storm is approaching. There is not enough time for our Public Works Department to collect and dispose of large amounts of debris as the storm is nearing landfall. Once wind speeds increase, trucks cannot safely be on the road. We must prepare our facilities and equipment to safely weather the approaching storm.
