The #MSPD is now in emergency management operation mode to ensure the safety of the public as #HurricaneIrma approaches.

If you are evacuating to another location or even if you are staying here, please provide emergency contact information to the Police Department by registering on our website at www.miamishoresvillage.com. The form is located on the bottom left-hand side of the page.

Registering will help the Police in search, rescue and recovery operations post-storm.

Update Miami-Dade County Evacuation Order Zone C

#HurricaneIrma2017 Zone C Evacuation Update

Miami Shores Village has received confirmation from the Miami-Dade Mayor's Office that the recent evacuation order that included Zone C DOES apply to Zone C in the Miami Shores area.

You may find out if the evacuation order applies to your property by clicking the Miami-Dade Evacuation Order Map and entering your address here: http://www.miamidade.gov/emergency/

As a reminder, shelters are to be a last resort. Those residents who are evacuating should first try to arrange to stay in the homes of friends or family who live outside of evacuation areas.

Local shelters that are currently open are
North Miami Senior High 13110 NE 8th Ave., North Miami
and
North Miami Beach Senior High, 1247 NE 167 St., North Miami Beach

If you are planning to evacuate to another location, please do so before conditions begin to deteriorate early Saturday morning.

**Please note** The Miami Shores Police Department is requesting that anyone that is evacuating their home to please provide the MSPD with emergency contact information to aid in post-storm search, rescue and recovery operations.

We are currently in the process of adding a form to the MSV website that should be enabled tomorrow. In the interim, you may stop by the police station and fill out a vacant house form.
