The Miami Shores Aquatic Center offers an eight lane competition pool with lap swimming and a slide splash park with water buckets for play, and is seasonally warmed or chilled to maintain a consistent temperature. Lifeguards are highly qualified and certified through the American Red Cross.
The facilities are only open to Miami Shores Village residents and their guests and residents of Bay Harbor Islands and their guests. ALL guests MUST be accompanied by a resident.

LIMITED LAP LANES ARE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 4:30 – 6:30 PM.
The top two reasons drowning deaths occur are a breakdown in adult supervision and adolescents or adults swimming alone. Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of injury-related death among children ages 1-4 years old.
Join our Learn to Swim Programs. Red Cross swim lessons are offered at the Aquatic Center for all ages 6 months to adult and all abilities. Contact the pool to sign up.
The Miami Shores Eagles Aquatics Team is directed by Adam Madarassy, a former Olympian. The team is a year-round competitive swim team offering high-quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. All youth interested in competitive swimming are invited to try-out. Practice days are determined by the coach’s recommendations.
