Miami Shores Village has installed Art into our public spaces to provide a cultural distinction and a positive impact in the community. The hope is the public art located throughout the Village instills in residents and visitors alike a memorable experience that fosters a collaboration of ideas and involvement.

Artist, Romero Britto gifted a Beach Ball sculpture to Miami Shores Village for the Aquatic Center entrance. The sculpture embraces the fun motif of the Aquatic Facility.

Brockway Memorial Library Display

Brockway Memorial Library Display

  • Year: Rotating semi-annually

Brockway Memorial Library hosts various art exhibits by a range of artists on a rotation basis usually twice per year. The art is typically on display for two months.

Memorial Park 9/11 Memorial

Memorial Park 9/11 Memorial

  • Year: 2012

The 9/11 Memorial is an actual steel beam from the rubble of one of the Manhattan Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. The piece is encased in glass as a tribute to those whose lives were lost on September 11, 2001.

Optimist Park Sculpture Garden

Optimist Park Sculpture Garden

This sculpture garden opened on November 11, 2018. This lovely garden showcases the works of artist, Alberto Cavalieri, internationally acclaimed metal sculptor. The oxidized metal sculptures are built to seem like one single piece swirling knot. Mr. Cavalieri’s sculptures focus on the contrast between the rigidness of the material and the organic quality of the shapes. These sculptures stand in contrast to the tall oak trees on the north side of the park, but create a fluid natural landscape for all to enjoy!
