Meeting of the Board of Trustees

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Brockway Memorial Library was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. Present were Library Director Elizabeth Esper, Adult Services Librarian Michelle Brown, board members Cheryl Gowing, Henry Harnage, Antonie Downs, Jennifer Quinton and Donna Hurtak.

1.     Minutes  ~ Henry Harnage made a motion to accept the minutes of the May meeting as revised; Donna Hurtak seconded the motion. All were in favor.

2.       Financial Report

            A motion to accept the financial report as submitted was made by Antonie Downs and seconded by Donna Hurtak.

3.     Old Business

 

  • Building Fund/Fund Raising – Cheryl reported that the presentation to the Village Council was met with universal support. Future possible dates for fundraising meetings were discussed.

 

  • Parking Meters– Cheryl reported that we are still waiting for a representative from the Fine Arts commission for the task force to move forward with Parking Meter efforts.

          

4.      New Business

  • Elizabeth Esper presented us with the competed Annual Report and she will present it to the Village Council June 17th at the regular Council meeting.
  • Michelle Brown announced the potential forming of 2 new reading clubs: A Spanish club and a Great Conversations Club.
  • Cheryl Gowing reported new details on SEFLIN, a library information system, and suggested we consider joining in the future.

  • Community Alliance Report –Henry Harnage reported that there will be no meetings for the Community Alliance in the summer and that he needs someone to attend in his place for the September meeting.

The next meeting will be September 10, 2014;

The meeting was adjourned at 10:25am.
