IPAP (Infant & Preschool Aquatics Program) |

6 months - 5 years (one child per parent) Younger children adjust to the water by learning skills such as placing the face in the water, flutter kicks and pre-floating skills. Older children will learn these skills as well as: prone float/glides, basic arm movements and pre-rhythmic breathing skills. Advanced children may begin other beginners skills (if showing ability). All Parents are taught how to instruct their children and recognize any errors in their child's swimming technique. Children are required to wear snug fitting over pants or swim diapers. Parents must be in the water with their children. Instructors will work at the skill level of each child regardless of varied abilities within a class. Minimum age requirements must be met. (Times and days are subject to change)

Beginners: (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3) |

Students with more advanced skills, but not able to complete one length of the pool must register for this class. Children ages 6 and older will learn the basic principles of swimming. Techniques taught include rhythmic breathing, proper arm strikes and coordination of all these into a proper front crawl. Safety skills will also be taught. For children ages 6 and older. Students learn the elementary backstroke, breaststroke as well as how to tread water. The children also continue to develop skill taught during the beginners class. Adult lessons are conducted for anyone 15 years and older who wishes to improve their stroke technique. Join in at anytime. (Days and Times are subject to change) Meets: 7:00 - 7:45 pm on Tuesday and Thursday (Days and Times are subject to change) Fees: Resident: $45./ session Non-Resident: $55./ session
