 HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD

 

The Miami Shores Village Historic Preservation Board held a meeting on Monday, June 7, 2004 at the Village Hall.  The meeting was called to order at 7:38 PM with the following members present:

 

PRESENT:                      Bob Davis                      Otto Paier

                                    Hal Marshall                   Steve Zelkowitz

 

ALSO PRESENT:             Barbara Estep, CMC, Village Clerk

 

ACTION ITEMS

 

1)     Minutes – April 12, 2004 Meeting

 

Mr. Marshall moved approval of the April 12, 2004 meeting minutes as submitted.  Mr. Davis seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.

 

2)   Application for Certificate of Appropriateness

      APPLICANT:     Bryon Thomas

      ADDRESS:        136 N.E. 101st Street

      Re:                   Installation of 6” copper K-Style gutters with 4” round downspouts.

 

Mr. Thomas was present and spoke on his own behalf.  Mr. Thomas provided information regarding the gutters that he would like to have installed around the eaves of his home.  Mr. Davis moved approval of the application for Certificate of Appropriateness relating to copper gutters and downspouts.  Mr. Marshall seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.

 

Following an inquiry from Mr. Zelkowitz, Ms. Estep indicated that Mrs. Mueller had not been back in touch with the Manager’s office regarding the request for assistance with a World War II memorial.  Ms. Estep also reported on the Council’s action regarding Mr. MacDonell’s request for de-designation of his property.
