MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE
HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MEETING
The
Historic Preservation Board met on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 in the
Council Chambers of Village Hall.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM with the following
members present:

Mr.
Newman moved to have Ms. Collins chair the meeting. Mr. Davis seconded the motion and the
vote was unanimous in favor. Ms.
Collins administered the oath to those expecting to testify during the
proceedings.
ACTION ITEMS
- Minutes – October 21, 2002
Mr.
Zelkowitz moved to approve the October 21, 2002 Minutes as presented. Mr. Davis seconded the motion and the
vote was unanimous in favor.
2. Request for Certificate of
Appropriateness
Address: 120 N.E. 91st Street
Applicant: Michael
J. Morris / Melissa A. Latus
Request: Installation
of Fabric Awning
Ms.
Latus was present and spoke on behalf of her application for the
installation of a fabric awning.
Ms. Latus submitted a sample material (Sunbrella Signature Series –
Moss Classic Style 4911) for consideration by the Board. Mr. Zelkowitz asked about the post
construction, to which Ms. Latus replied that the posts would be painted
aluminum. Mr. Davis moved to grant
the Certificate of Appropriateness for the requested fabric awning. Mr. Newman seconded the motion and the
vote was unanimous in favor.
Ms.
Fugazzi reminded the Board that the next scheduled meeting would be Monday,
December 9, 2002. In addition, Ms.
Fugazzi announced the receipt of funds previously held by Ms. Carolyne
Cadwallader and deposited into an account for the Historic Preservation
Board’s use. The balance in the
account equals $530.94.
ADJOURNMENT
The
November 12, 2002 Historic Preservation Board was adjourned at 7:45 PM.
