Miami Shores Village has a number of volunteer Boards which are listed
below. The Boards are
comprised of volunteers who are appointed by the Village Council on the
basis of their professional and/or personal backgrounds.
Other than the Library Board of Trustee appointments, the
appointments are made each year in October and the terms run from two to
three years. The
Library Board appointments take place in July and each appointment is
for a five year term. There are certain Board’s which require the successful
appointee to file a Form 1 Financial Disclosure with the State of
Florida each year. This
requirement applies to individuals sitting on the Planning & Zoning
Board, the Code Enforcement Board and the two Village Pension Boards.
