The Code Enforcement Division performs community-wide inspections to maintain the highest standards of Miami Shores Village. By forging an alliance with the community and its residents, the division staff is able to achieve an exceptionally high compliancy percentage. Continuing violations are processed through Code Enforcement Board which may impose fines in the form of property liens. Staff associates work closely with Police and Public Works Departments in order to achieve Village-wide community improvement programs.

The Division takes a customer centered, problem solving approach rather than a punitive attitude.  Every effort is made to work with property owners regarding code violations.  The Village has a strong and positive image among Miami-Dade County municipalities as a result of strict code enforcement.
