A) MOTION
TO AMEND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET TO DELETE FURTHER EXPENDITURES ON N.E.
95TH STREET BETWEEN N.E. 2ND AVENUE AND GRAND
CONCOURSE.
Mr. Ulmer read his
proposed motion and offered background information to the Council. He
indicated that although the capital budget is amended and voted upon each
year, he believes that the 95th Street resident's concerns have
been addressed and that future funding should be eliminated. Mr.
Ulmer provided statistical information which substantiated his belief that
the issues raised by residents, i.e. traffic volume, vehicle speed, and the
number of trucks on the street, had been mitigated.
Individual Council
Members offered their thoughts on the collected data, Mr. Ulmer's
interpretation of the data, and their opinions on whether or not future
funding should be deleted at this point in time. Following this
