MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
The Miami Shores Village Council held their regularly scheduled
meeting on Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at the Village Hall. The Meeting
was called to order at 7:30 PM with the following members present:

Mark Ulmer
ALSO PRESENT: Tom Benton, Village Manager
Barbara Estep, Village Clerk
Richard Sarafan, Village Attorney
PRESENTATIONS
Mayor Davis presented certificates to the winners of
the Holiday Light Contest that were in attendance. The winners and
the categories were:

Mayor Davis presented an appreciation plaque to resident Ken Lacy
for his contributions of holiday light decorations which were installed
throughout the Village.
Al Berg, Director of Code Enforcement/Planning & Zoning
presented Frank Paula and Camilo Rubio with the "House of the
Month" award for the month of January, 2003.

OF THE DECEMBER 3, 2002 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES.
Mr. Ullman moved
approval of the December 3, 2002 Council Meeting Minutes. Mr. Herrera
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.

The Clerk read the
announcements.

No one present in
the audience wished to make any comment.

COUNCIL COMMENTS

Herrera Mr. Herrera
wished everyone a Happy New Year and congratulated the winners of the
Holiday Light Contest and the House of the Month award.

Mr. Ullman congratulated all of the winners as well and wished everyone a
happy holiday.

Mr. Blum wished everyone a Happy New Year and thanked the Village's Public
Works Department and resident Ken Lacy for making the Village look so
beautiful.

MayorDavis spoke about the upcoming Mayor's Ball scheduled for February 22,
2003 and also of the marriage of two staff members, Jerry Estep and Barbara
Fugazzi.
